Houston Ministry of Culture

The mission of the Houston Ministry of Culture (the events arm of MOCHA Urban Hang Suite) is to promote and strengthen the African American creative and leisure industries by providing a central hub where residents of the City of Houston, as well as visitors, can access information on upcoming cultural events.

We accomplish this through the promotion of literary, visual, theatrical, musical, dance, architectural, plastic, cinematographic and performing arts through a social networking portal that the community updates and maintains. Viewers can join and post events FREE of charge. The functional spectrum of the Houston Ministry of Culture ranges from creating cultural awareness—from the grass root level to the international cultural exchange level—in an effort to maximize our city’s economic and social vitality.
